TPA brand: Broadspire
In the United States, Broadspire was acquired by Crawford in 2006 to supplement its Third Party Administration (TPA) division. Broadspire, a Crawford Company, has been a leading TPA for many years, recognised as a premier provider of workers’ compensation and liability claims management, medical management and integrated disability management services.
Crawford in Europe also has extensive TPA experience and expertise offering a range of services appropriate to the local markets. In the UK from June 2009 this service is offered under the brand Broadspire.
In order to consolidate its reputation as a global TPA brand, Broadspire services are offered across the rest of Europe utilising Crawford's existing or extended European claims management operations, while the loss adjusting services continue to be provided under the Crawford brand throughout the world.
Broadspire has been officially launched as Crawford’s TPA brand for Europe at FERMA, the European Risk Managers Conference held in Prague in October. Its launch will follow at local levels during 2010 throughout Europe.

All new property claims are assessed as to their value and complexity. Where applicable, these will be handled by our experienced claims handlers, but on those more complex claims, we will utilise the skills and resources within Crawford’s wider network which covers:

To ensure that clients receive exactly the right level of dedicated service and property adjusting skills, we work within a formal licensing system for all professional claims handling staff. Loss adjusters and claims advisers are licensed to one of five levels dependant on experience and qualification in appropriate disciplines. Our accreditation programme encourages, recognises and rewards technical skills, quality and service excellence. It provides claims handling staff and clients with clarity on personal authority levels and offers a system of personal development and career progression. Used in parallel with appraisal and audit, property licensing assists in keeping our skills fully honed, current and market leading.
Marine & Transportation
We have a dedicated team which acts as the focal point for all claims within Marine and Transportation. Where appropriate, they will deal with the claim on a desktop basis. If the claim is complex or requires an outside inspection then we refer the claim to our specialised Crawford team.
Crawford employs 210 marine and transportation surveyors and marine adjusters worldwide, specialising in collision, physical damage claims, business interruption, and loss of hire on hull, cargo and transit claims. These skills are complemented by senior ex-seafaring officers with master mariner qualifications, engineers, naval architects, hull and machinery specialists, and commodity experts. Our service covers cargo surveys and loss adjusting, specialising in marine, property, liability and other contingencies serviced by specialists in all areas as well as account management and technical support.
Broadspire services include customised claims handling solutions that cover all aspects of the claims process for travel, A&H, personal effects, credit card, warranty and other types of volume claims. Crawford already operates several corporate and affinity schemes for European insurers under the Broadspire brand. Our services include:
